I'm still relieved to have heat on, car was taken to mechanic for front brake work and only charged $150 compared to $450 from place I was gonna go to so that's great.
I don't want to be a broken record but prayer is sometimes only thing i have or just need it. I went on internet community page to talk about my furnace problem and say we will need new furnace probably soon and ask for furnace brand recommendations and company if this company that came won't help again, got heat back on, they diagnosed problem (switch tripped, heat exchanger bad) but didn't replace part. I googled things and found articles saying new heat exchanger can cost between $600-1200 and putting one in old furnace is like putting new motor in old car. Anyway, on the local Community page another heating company said that resetting the switch and using furnace could be dangerous, it could emit carbon monoxide and possibility of fire and the company shouldn't have done it. I don't know all the information but I think repairman did it because he knows we have no heat, no money or credit card to get new furnace now and it's still winter and house was truly cold. So what are we to do, turn the heat off and freeze if it gets cold again, temps up today but Monday the inside of house was colder than outside, I tried taking nap in car before work after checking out from hotel Monday morning, I was still tired. We can't keep staying in hotels so I feel we have to chance furnace on for some heat unless the furnace goes off again and dies. Someone from community page, I actually went to school with, recommended trying People's Gas program to repair or replace furnace, I will call but the account is in my husband's name and he or we never signed up or pay extra few dollars a month for repair program company has so I don't think gas company is going to just give us a new furnace. Church hasn't offered to buy us a new furnace, don't know if the pastor has been notified by man who came here to try to help, they are close. I don't even believe the church has a benevolence fund, it's a small to medium sized church, some upper middle class people but alot of poor, last year they took up an offering during the service for a family that needed a new furnace or repairs. My mom still goes there but since I started working last March, Ive been there once, I work Friday, Saturday and Sunday afternoon/night and I have to admit I agree with alot of teachings but not all, some legalism there. I don't have any friends there after 20 plus years.
Prayers please that this furnace will make it through the cold weather this month or maybe two months. Prayers no carbon monoxide leaks, no fire or any damage to house, people or breaker box etc..
Prayers that maybe the church can take up a collection for a new furnace or maybe another charity or organization and we don't have to jump through any or many hoops to get help or lastly, I can get a decent amount back like around $2000 from IRS and am able to save another $1000 or more in next months before September or October to buy and install another furnace and the furnace is a good one for our home and life and reputable heating company to install it that won't rip us off. So many recommendations from people i don't know which one.
I also still have to save money for daughter's party, photos and I need glasses. Also my medical assistance is done after March 31st so I don't know if I can afford insurance from work or the market place. Don't even know what's good or bad insurance if I could afford it, lol.
I'm not an extravagant person but heat and medical coverage is important.

Amen my Lord Bless this family and ours, Protect us help us as You see fit. Open doors for us wide and stop the devil's run around now and bring us Your answers and Help. I have a similar situation, praying wisdom and Favor for us Lord in our heating situation. Keep us Warm and Safe and lower these High utilities bills. Lord help this woman and her children, have them feel your love and peace in situation like these. Give her wisdom on how to prosper in life without others having to give to her. May she be able to depend on you only as you allow her hard work to be recognized and recompensed with better salary. Help them in their situation and may she get closer to you, for only you can perform a miracle in her life as she continues to try to help herself. I pray in the mighty name of Jesus, amen.
