Our friends have a daughter who has recently been diagnosed with Leukemia. She soon has to go to one of the local hospitals for a week of chemotherapy, followed by three months of hospitalization and, if I am understanding correctly, a bone marrow transplant.
I am requesting prayer for her healing, that, if it it the Lord's will, she be healed before having to go through this. I ask that, if she must go through this, that they find a suitable donor (bone marrow), and that her pain will be minimized. I am also requesting prayer for her parents: she is their only daughter and they are very scared.
I don't know if I am good at expressing the sense of urgency. Please pray for her and her parents. Also, many of us are trying to help by doing things to make life easier for this family, while they are going through this. They are good people. I pray also for the resources to do this, and that many people will join in helping.
It is difficult to imagine a child having to go through this. Please, Lord, if there is any way she can be healed before going through all of this, I pray that this will happen.
Lord, you are the great physician, in you we place our trust. You heal the sick and the lame, and cause the blind to see again. We praise you, Lord, for the blessing that is this child.
